J Hettinger Interiors Hosts Wine For Wheels Event to Grow Awareness for Wheelchair Foundation
DANVILLE, CA July 1, 2010 – J Hettinger Interiors (http://www.jhettingerinteriors.com/) Danville’s largest Interior Design firm partners with the Behring family to successfully host a Wine for Wheels charity event.
Jerry Hettinger, President and Founder of J Hettinger Interiors has supported local schools, churches and charities throughout his 30 years in the Danville showroom. With nearly 200 in attendance and over $5000 in donations, J Hettinger’s debut as host was phenomenal. “This was a great opportunity to gather the right people and the right number of people for this cause,” states Jerry. His history with the Behring family started 15 years ago with a collaboration on the North Wing of the Auto Art Museum in Blackhawk. “I was thrilled that Kenneth Behring made a personal appearance for our first hosting,” continues Jerry, who has his own plaque for purchasing wheelchair # 625 years ago.
Helping to make the event a success were local businesses that donated time, space and refreshments. Danville’s Café Esin, The Peasant and the Pear, Faz, Yuki of Tokyo, Danville Bakery and Danville Chocolate Shop along with The Cheesecake Factory all had tables filled with delicious edibles for crowd members to enjoy. In addition to the wines donated by attendees, Mitchell Katz winery and Wreckless Blenders were on hand to also provide samplings. Don’s Florist provided all centerpieces, Citro Salon contributed with a donation, and all of it was elegantly set up by Gignon’s Rentals who provided chairs, tables and linens. The Tarabini’s Jazz ensemble donated their time and talent inside J Hettinger’s while Lou Pagnini and his staff at neighboring David Louis Clothiers offered his space for both refreshments and live music provided by Sherman Clay-Steinway & Sons on one of their magnificent Steinway pianos.
“I couldn’t have asked for better results. Everyone involved was so helpful and generous. And my own staff was phenomenal. No conversations about work-it was all about the charity and event!” exclaimed Jerry.
